Temporary fix for partying
Ujen found a thread on the black ops forum that claimed you could fix partying on black ops by using modern warfare 2. At first we thought it was just a troll trying to get people back onto the game that caused so much stress in previous months. However, on Friday night we tried it. To our shock it actually worked. So in order to temporarily fix partying follow these steps:
1) Go on Mw2 and tell someone else to go on with you.
2) Party with that person
3) Search a public game, before you find a game back out
4) Go into a private match and play a full game
5) Both people quit MW2 and go onto black ops.
6) Get whoever hosted the party on mw2 to invite the other person
7) It should work and anyone else should be able to party with you until you sign off
This works 80% of the time and is a good temporary solution until treyarch get their act together

Seems like a placebo effect to me. Its also easier to just restart the PS3 and wireless router
Re: Temporary fix for partying
Forwarding ports in your router for black ops seems to help a lot. Everyone seems to be able to connect to me and I can connect to most people.

I don't really see how it temporarily fixes it. It doesn't make sense to me.
But if it works, it works.

You have to get into the menu of your router/modem. Write in the ports that Blops uses, Eg. 111111. And thats it. There are programs to help you with it too.

Re: Temporary fix for partying
To anyone who wants to try it, guides for port forwarding are here.
http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm
They don't have all the Black Ops ports listed though so here they are.

Too lazy to look. Seemed easier at the time to just take a screenshot of my router page.
