Map Pack 1: First Strike

In the latest Major Nelson podcast, first details have surfaced on Call of Duty: Black Ops DLC. The map pack titled First Strike will be released first on Xbox Live February 1. Other platforms will have to wait for this timed exclusive. No word on a release window for PS3 or PC users.

The pack includes four competitve maps: Discovery (based on Resnov mission set in an Antarctic research area), Kowloon (set on Kowloon rooftops), Berlin Wall (battle at Checkpoint Charlie), and Stadium (set in hockey rink). It also includes an additional zombie map titled Ascension.

The DLC will cost 1200 MS Points ($15).

These are the loading screens for Berlin Wall, Discovery and Stadium – the files for which were found lurking on the games disc.

All people have found were remnant images from maps that were cut before duplication (ie the final versions of them are not, in fact, on the disc). Treyarch and/or Raven will just now be finishing these maps completely before release on Feb. 1st.
