why go prestige???

does anyone else think its a bit stupid that all you get for prestige, is some badges that dont really look all that good anyway????

at first i thought the skulls looked pretty cool but they all look the same.. just with different words on it. also if you go prestige they take all you guns and camo's!!! And now that the ranks have been boosted to 70, it seems like it takes ages to get there.

the only badge i thinks looks really awesome is the skull ring looking thing. but to get it you need to reach tenth prestige.. wtf. if i actually saw someone with it i wouldnt be like 'your awesome' itd be more like 'dude get a life'!!

maybe they should have had an easier to reach prestige but give you a new gun for your troubles. or even let you keep a perk to use that didnt take up a perk spot. now that would be worth getting!!

I agree totally to this. But most people do it to show off how good they are. It sucks how you have to do everything all over again. Im not going to prestige until i get all the titles and emblems i want. And im probably only gonna prestige 2 or 3 times. If i have the time...haha

i went all the way on cod4 so i may as well go all the way in mw2. I think u get extra create-a-class spots too

yeah i get why people do it. when you see someone on whatever level prestige you auto think 'that dude must be good' but in reality it doesnt show how good you are, but just that you log some serious hours.

i really love playing against someone with a hell prestige and owning their ass!!!
for me prestige should show how good you are, not how long you play. maybe showing your kill death or something??

i dont see much point to it but you do get the extra class slot. Thats why i might hack to 10th prestige

i do it becasue once you get to level 70 you have nothing to work for, except camo and challenges. and the challenges are there for extra xp becasue its not liek you can see everyones challenges.

I would want to earn my rank also but 10 times!! thats 700 levels!

the thing I hate is like throw the whole time you go from level 1 to level 70 your building the perfect classes that you think work for you and you get all the gun and perks finaly ready to own wiv. but then you prestige and wtf you start from scratch thinkin fml.
I just wish ya kept everything accept level number and maybe make some guns like instead of level 40 maybe level 40 prestige 2 so ya realy no to get that challenge/emblem/tittle/gun u need to get there.

what mw2 should have done it made your rank based on ur win and death ratio

depending on how long until I get to 70 I will probably only prestige once or not at all. Idc about class slots or titles really

yeah im the same. i only prestiged in waw cos there was a double xp week. in mw1 i didnt. and i dont think i will on mw2 either!!

extra class shot is pretty useless seeing as you have about 2 mins between games to specialise classes for the map.

for me i just dont see the point??

i agree with that,and macca i want to earn my rank and plus im not even prestige yet and i still own most of the presitge ppl i play against lol so they either hacked or put alot of time in

i will probably only prestige onces or twice as well i do it to keep me more interested in the game gives me something to work towards
