i don't mind it, at least quickscoping will be a challenge for me again. I just hope this brings all the little kids who think its a hard scope if you look through your scope to realization.

I am glad that they still kept sleight of hand with faster aiming because I like it on my assault rifles.

No not like me, I mean good quickscopers, Eg Optic predator, Zerkaa just to name a few. You dont need to hit them 5/5 times either you just need to hit them before they get you.

if quickscoping was based more on luck than skill you wouldn't see people being so consistent. hardscopers don't hit 5/5 shots either.

Lets evaluate the process here.

To be perfectly honest either way (hipfire/aim down sight) the bullet should come out of the gun straight.
So for total realism you could "no scope" someone across the map provided they do not move and you are perfectly synced with the body.

Lets move onto Call of Duty logistics.
A bullet will never leave the barrell perfectly.
So that means you cannot truly aim properly.
Quickscoping basically is a hipfire granted because you don't truly "aim" down the scope. More along the lines of wrenching it upwards.
Hardscoping gives you 100% aim. That crosshair is where the bullet will go.. 99.9999999% of the time. Provided you aren't retarded.

So basically we have seen two things.
1) Quickscoping counts as a hip fire. Seing as you fail to scope the gun up.
2) Hardscoping will always hit that scoped crosshair.

Now. Sure you may not hit a target 5/5 by "Hardscoping" and defenetly not by "Quickscoping"
HOWEVER. You have a much much muuuuuuuuch greater chance of hitting the target by aiming properly.
Quickscoping is 70% luck and 30% feel. There really is no skill, just being able to "feel" your target. If you get what I mean.
Hardscoping you need that feel and need that skill about 90% of the time. With about 10% luck. You won't hit a guy 100% while he is on the run but that bullet will sure as shit hit where you aimed it. Whereas Quickscoping the bullet is very likely to either go 90 degrees right or 130 left. Maybe it might graze his cheek or hit him square in the face.

To test this game of "luck" I set you a quick task. Done below in a few easy steps.

1) Shoot one bullet into the wall. This will be your target.
2) Aim your crosshair fully scoped and breathing to aquire precise aim.
3) Unscope the gun and then quickscope. 5 Bullets. Tell me if any hit or get close to that designated "Target"
4) Now do the same as the above. Except this time Hardscope it. Breath held and all.

If you did this right.. 99.9999999% of the time your scoped shots will hit the "target."
If you did this right.. You will be lucky to hit it once square on the money by quickscoping.

In short. Quickscoping is 70% luck and 30% feel. Maybe chuck in a 5% ballsy effort. Not really much skill needed except to feel and shoot.
Hardscoping on the otherhand relies purely on your ability to engage a target and im precisely. Therefore giving it around 90% skill. With 10% luck.

I rest my case.

Wow if u can write that just about hardscoping and quick scoping do u wanna do my assigments Wink i agree that hardscoping is all about how accurate you are but not about the quickscoping section it dies take a fair ammount of skill to be a decent quicscoper especially in a public match where everyone uses assault rifles and smg's and to beat them in a close gunfight is sometimes luck but if you do it a lit of the time its more skill then anything

The only way quick scoping works is because there is auto aim, provided you are aiming close enough to the target when you scope your gun auto locks onto the target. After that it simply comes down to some skill and some luck in timing your shot as once you scope the sight moves with your breath, time it too early and your sight doesn't have time to lock on, time it too late and the sight moves with your breath. There is some skill and some luck, if we were all playing on LANs I would call it more skill then luck but with the lag we have there is a lot of luck involved.

Exactly. The ONLY REASON quick scoping works is because of the AUTO AIM. It is always there

i got this from that link
Sleight of Hand | Sleight of Hand Pro

Ability: Gives a faster reload time by reducing your weapons reload time in half. This is extremely useful with weapons that have long reload times, like shotguns and light machine guns.

Pro Ability: Allows you to aim down the sight ~50% faster than normal. This doesn't work with sniper class weapons anymore like in the previous Call of Duty games.

so by the sounds of this snipping will be fun

also i saw this awsome perk
Hacker | Hacker Pro

Ability: Allows you to see enemy explosives, equipment and Tactical Insertions. This highlights them with a red color like SitRep from Modern Warfare 2.

Pro Ability: This is one of the most interesting additions to the whole Black Ops perks list. Hacker Pro actually allows you to booby trap enemy Care Packages and also turn enemy killstreaks and equipment friendly.

i would just like to add my 2 cents. there are 2 methods for quickscoping, drag scoping and semi scoping. nights massive post outlined one of these methods, semi scoping. I agree with what he said as semi scoping relies heavily on auto aim to hit targets. however drag scoping relies on the person dragging the scope as quickly as possible to hit the target. drag scoping was the original quickscope and semi scoping only started because of Mw2. some of you may know how angry i get when some little kid in a lobby thinks its a hardscope because your scope came the whole way up. so in summary the level of skill it takes to quickscope is based on the type of quickscoper you are.

yeah and if you were to do it in a public lobby with the little kids who think they are 1337 quickscopers they would try attack you. that's what pisses me off.
