Black Ops proposition

black ops theater mode allows players to upload clips to a fileshare and then download onto a pc (as far as i know). I think it would be cool if the clan made the most of this and held a top plays of the month. this would be simple as every member has complete accessibility to upload there own clips. the clips could vary from an insane shot, multi kills to total annihilation of a team.

give me your ideas on the following for the competition:
* who would determine the order in which each clip placed ( i was thinking someone who didn't upload a clip should decide)
* what the possible reward could be for the person who came first (i was thinking nomination for member of the month)
* should we make a video out of this, like a countdown and put on our clan channel
* should it be a top 5 or top 10? or should it vary on the amount of clips we receive.

Deceding the winner should be voted by those who don't post a vid and giving points for each vid will determine the placings, so not just I vote for that one, it could mean a lot of ties. Maybe a certain type of video too, not just any old stuff, if we wanted to keep it going, it'll get boring quickly.

this is an awesome idea tyler. Thats sick. A top 5 of the week or top 10 of the month would be awesome to do. And post them all on the AuE* clan page on youtube. Also you could do a vote where everyone gets to vote on one video at the end of the month and those who submit cant vote for themselves. If its tied the admins or someone can decide the winner.

this is a great idea and i think it should be either a weekly thing or fortnightly because if the hole clan participates there would be a fair amount of clips but fortnightly i think would be the best way to go

That's a good idea, we could just make it like those top 5 plays of the week videos except maybe make it a bit more random. Could include all sorts of things like multi kills, collaterals, killstreaks, and epic axe throws for example.

yea exactly, this will be sweet. And tom i dont think this is like MOTM because this is just for single play videos as opposed to notable efforts that benefit the clan throughout a whole month

Yeah i love the idea, I say yea we make a vid and upload to aue channel. I think we should just do a poll for each episode to determine who wins. 1 question. Will it be a top 10/5 plays? Or shots?

well it will be plays but if you got a mad shot with a sniper for example it would be included. its basically just 'top cool shit of the month'. top plays is just simpler thing to say

even if the vids go straight to youtube there are programs you can get to rip them off youtube so we should be right

I think he means off out ps3's to out computers. Im pretty sure we can, It would be useless if we couldnt

yeah i'm pretty sure treyarch are making a statistics site like they did for w@w that will have a fileshare attached for it and you would just register with your psn/xbl username.

We could do play of the week... 4 weeks in a month... and those 4 plays of the week go into the draw to be player of the month maybe

i was thinking maybe we just have top video of the week, to stop all the fuss over top 5, and the best video for the week is won and shit and if theres 2 awesome vids you cant pic, just have them both for the week and this can go for a longer time? maybe

I'd say top 5, that way if we have a lot of really good videos then more people get to have their videos published. Otherwise we might end up showing 1 awesome video when there are 4 other videos that are nearly as good.

I say top 5 every month, because if we do one every week we wont get much good stuff.

no every fortnight i think is the best idea because there would be to much to choose from every month but we can make the decision when the game comes out and can see what happens

I think every month would be easier and atleast we get more chance of having some really good clips overall rather than having a good week then a bad week. It'd also give more time to choose which is better.
