Pro, Am & Open Ladders - details
Hey everyone,
We would like to make the initial announcement regarding Season 1: Black Ops. For PS3.
As you will all have noticed in the Black Ops ladders there is 3 different ladders for season 1.
MGApro
MGAam
MGAo
---------------------------------
MGApro:
This league will be the top 8 or 9 teams only from the pre season. Here will be the best of the best playing black ops on the PS3 in Australia. There are certain guidlines that a clan must meet to be eligiable for this league, We also have a special bonus for these teams, where we will be assisting them to gain sponsorship for themselves. The sponsorship will look at help paying for items such as:
web site hosting and development
assisting in paying for p2p comp. entries
VIP membership for the clan members on MGA
Anything else that your clan may require.
I have spent time with an external consultant whom we are working with to develop this particular package, which in turn will see the creation and establishment of our own individual, commercialized MGA pro circuit.
Teams that compete on this ladder will be locked at the start of the season.
MGAam:
The MGAam league is your mid skill league. The majority of the clans competing in the pre season will gain access to this ladder. They will run of the same ruleset as the Pro League, however clans will not need to meet the guidelines set out as the Pro.
The top 2 teams from the MGAam league will go through into the MGApro league at the end of each season.
Teams that compete on this ladder will be locked at the start of the season.
MGAo:
The MGA open league is where most clans will start their journey on their road to become a PRO competing team. The rulesets will be more "mid" tier compared to the 2 leagues above.
This league is designed for new teams and clans joining MGA, who haven't played competitively on our site before, it will give them a chance to learn the ladder formats, how challenges work, and to basically ease them into competitive gaming.
Teams that compete on this ladder will be open throughout the whole season, meaning that a clan may join this ladder at any stage of the season. The only time that teams and roster locks will apply is in the finals and p2p events for this league.
The top 2 teams from the OPEN league will have the opportunity to progress into the AM ladder at the end of the season.
*The idea and development behind our league system is to ensure an even playing field for all competitors on MGA, and to help progress and develop all teams and clans into something that has not been seen in Australia yet.
*Each League will also have their own specific state and national championships via a LAN tournament, or our live pro circuit.
*Each separate league will have the opportunity to have their own level of p2p events as well.
We will have a more detailed set of guidelines and information in the coming weeks. With season 1 of Black Ops to kick off 2 weeks after the pre season finals.
We will be offering this league system to both XBOX and PS3 teams.
In closing myself, and the management team would like to thank you all for helping us get the site to this level, we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for all of our members.

We should make a pretty big team list with all the people who are regularly on and of course our best players, that way we can have plenty to train with and won't need to worry about not having enough people online, i remember last comp we had enough people online but they weren't on the team list and it got a little annoying.
