In the most recent update, not sure many people realised but they added an option in the multiplayer menu at the very bottom, its called "Load multiplayer by default" and if you enable that when you start black ops up it takes you straight into multiplayer.

umm... thats been available since the last patch! Ive been using for weeks. Its a very good idea. Saves having to go through the main menu
