Just better than most Smile

And we all have our preferences of what we think looks good. I like surrealism, if you knew anything about photography you might know what that is

I know that adjusting transparency and throwing in a C4D or two isn't a skill Wink

The .GIFs are all modified (remove shadows, cut out characters, etc) by me, but originally from Newgrounds. And my sig was made by a friend because he was bored and felt like making something for me.

This is going to be my new sig, But I feel like it's 'empty'. Seems to me that it needs something else but I can't think of anything.

And your AuE* text looks kinda lame and ur name is kinda bland (only a little) Smile rest is cool though, maybe adjust the colour/opacity of the fire too so it stands out more? Just a thought =]

Haha Yep. I saw it and I wanted it. Looks fuckin' awesome.

Yea, I think I need to work on my 'Text' skills a little bit. Haha
I did that colour because my name has 'Golden' in it. So I thought I'd do a goldy colour to it.
And what do you mean by 'bland'?

And I put down the opacity for the flames because I thought it seemed too 'full'. If you know what I mean. (Like the flames were pretty much the only thing noticeable about the pic)

Also, Just got a problem. I opened up the file again, only to find all my layers are combined now. (All 'Background') So I obviously can't change the opacity for the flames now...
They were definatly not combined when I saved it lastnight...

with that you have to save the file as a photoshop file, any other it'll combine. I think its PNP* and another.

Yea, Thought that was the problem...

So I basically have to do it again? Sad
Using the Magnetic Lasso Tool, tracing around the skull was fuckin hard. I had to zoom it in just to be precise.

save its as a .PSD which is the default. Also flattenning the layers obviously flattens layers

I never do that goldy. 3 best ways to cut out an object:
Magic Wand
Quick Selection (under magic wand)
The Straight Line Lasso

Then on top of the lasso tool are 4 or 3 squares which enable your selections to add, subtract etc as well. Sometimes you can also do a slightly rough cutout/outline then use the "Refine Edge" tool and feather the edge for blending purposes.

By bland i just meant it didnt stand out as much as it should. Also make the flames full opacity then play around with the "Blending Options" as it can create some cool effects once you learn what each do

Does anyone know what the 'Purple Lines' are? When I try and move a layer into position the purple line shows up and lines up to the nearest layer. It's getting annoying...

Anyway I can change that?

No idea, but it sounds like its "Snapping" or something similar. I dont have photoshop open but go through the various menus and see what you can see that may be doing it. Also dont have the "Ruler" option on

Use them as textures, like overlay them and try different blending options on them, you just gotta have an open mind of what will match with what
